Climate, Sustainability & Responsibility are important themes explored in many art practices. But what is also important is how we as artists take responsibility for our approach to materials. I myself fall into the latter. A sustainable art practice is considering the effect your practice has on the wider environment. Artworks are defined as sustainable if they are made up of recycled or upcycled materials, found objects and are made through processes such as assemblage that considers the impact on the wider environment.
